Kids love to play games, at least my kids and grandkids do. What is it that you look for in a game? I like games for my grandkids, that are educational. (Product received opinions are my own)
Kids love Games
I am not talking video games, I am talking board games and other types of games where they interact with others. I love to hear them laugh and cheer, and yes sometimes they even pout when they lose. What a good lesson to learn. How to be a good sport when you win or you lose. (But that is another blog post.)
I like hands on games where a child can learn how to take turns, counting money or spaces, colors, matching and other educational things. That is why I like this cute little game “The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game!” My 3 year old granddaughter loves it.
Learn important social skills
There are many things kids learn while playing the game. The first thing is taking turns to spin the dial. After the spin the child needs to recognize what they do to complete their turn. What color of acorn do they pick up with squirrel squeezers? At first the squeezers were a little difficult for my granddaughters little fingers, but she quickly became a pro.
After picking up the acorn they need to match the color of the acorn with the color of the hole on the log and place the acorn inside the hole. Again this was a little tricky, but she soon got the hang of it.
She cheered and jumped up and down as she accomplished the tasks in the game and was especially excited when she won the game.
This is a great game for kids. It can be played with 2-4 players and is geared for children ages 3+. I really liked the game. The only problem I see with it is the circle on the log is more orange than red. This can be a little bit confusing at first, but not a big deal. I would give this game a 5 star.
We also received a book with the game. This is a fun book where the squirrel needs help finding the hidden nuts. It has little flaps that lift up and reveal different items. This book has become a favorite at our house.
If you are looking for a fun game to play with your grandkids or a great game for a gift, I would recommend this one. It is not only fun but very educational. Kids love to learn and play.
