BBQ Dragon when you need briquettes fast!
(Product received opens are my own)
I usually start them in a briquette starter that helps get them burning and blocks them from the wind so they will burn. But I decided to try it without the briquette starter this time.
I received this BBQ Dragon in the mail. I was a little skeptical at first I have to admit. I didn’t think this would make a big difference on starting the briquettes. I decided to give it a try.
Dutch Oven Cooking
Since I was going to start briquettes I may as well make a yummy treat in my Dutch Oven. I went outside as usual to get the briquettes started and then I figured I would come back into the house and make a cobbler. Now my cobbler was easy to make and didn’t take much time. I got the briquettes lit inside of my Volcano.
After starting the briquettes I used the handy clip to hook the BBQ Dragon onto the handle of the Volcano. The BBQ Dragon has a long bendable neck that you can position the head of the fan wherever you want so that it can blow on the briquettes. The fan has different speeds and is easy to adjust the speed you want the fan to blow. I positioned mine so it blew on the side of the briquettes and a little underneath them. The BBQ Dragon helps get more oxygen into the fire to help it burn quicker.
The fire started to burn quickly and the briquettes were ready before I could get the cobbler ready and outside to cook. So my advice would be to get things ready ahead of time so you are ready when your briquettes are.
And by the way the cobbler was delicious. I will post the recipe a little later.
