Farming at 5600 feet

Farming is a gamble anywhere you live.  You never know what the weather is going to do.  Our altitude where we live is 5600 feet.  While a frost in May is not unusual for us we still get our sprinklers going and our pivot turned on to start watering the alfalfa.

We have a moose on the loose.  This sounds like a fun kids story.  Actually, we do have a moose on the loose.  I have been taking pictures of a young moose staying down on the creek.  Most of the pictures were pretty far away, but this young moose ventured out away
