The elk are still here. It has been a long week without a lot of sleep. There has still been over 300 head of elk moving through our fields, yard, and haystacks. While I have enjoyed watching them it is time for them to find somewhere else to go for the night.

Coyotes follow the Elk
On New Years Day the elk started moving into our fields just after sunset. Just before sunrise the elk moved back over the fences, through the neighbor’s fields and back up the mountainside. They bedded down in the sagebrush and on the mountainside.
Over 300 elk moved in. Fish and game moved them out.
Last night, Tuesday, January 3rd, we had over 300 elk move in again. They stayed most of the day. I have an awesome video to share with you at the bottom of the post. You wont want to miss it!
