This month the trusty mixer that I have used to make homemade bread and other delicious treats decided it was tired and quit on me. This was a sad day. You never know how much you miss one of your kitchen appliances until they no longer work. Now it was time to save my money and decide what I was going to replace this much-used appliance with.

Lots of research
I started to do lots of research on which mixer is the best. I wanted something that would hold up. I needed one that could do some heavy-duty mixing. I really enjoy making homemade bread, cinnamon rolls, and other yummy things that can really give a mixer a good work out. I needed something with a strong motor and a good bread hook on it. I spoke with a lot of my friends and asked what they used.
I asked what was their favorite thing about their mixer and what they didn’t like. I also asked how long they have owned it and how often they use it. I also wondered what kind of things they made with it. And then I made my decision.
My New Mixer
I decided to get a Bosch. Two of my friends had used their Bosch for almost 30 years. I knew they had used their mixers a lot, They have often brought me a loaf of homemade bread. All of the answers and the research is what helped me decide.
I am so excited to start making a lot of different treats. There are only 2 of us at home and we can only eat so much….. so I guess I will make a little at a time.
I did make a german chocolate cake. I know this is a very simple thing to make and not much of a workout for the mixer, but I at least got to use it!
What I like about my choice
I loved the beaters. They worked very well at mixing the cake mix with no other attachments. Then I decided to put the bowl scraper on the beaters I was even more impressed! I loved it!! With the bowl scrapers on there was no powder cake mix on the sides or on the bottom of the bowl that you sometimes get with other mixers.
I like the big bowl. It will give me lots of room to mix large amounts of dough. The bowl has a really nice ring that snaps on around it and a cover that comes off easily so you can add more ingredients. It is really easy for cleanup.
I can’t wait to make the next thing in my new Bosch, but first, we have to finish the German Chocolate cake. I may need to invite friends over just so I can use my Bosh again.
My husband said, “You know you are so spoiled.” I smiled at him and said, “Yes, I know!” (And it is his fault!)
